Claudia Wannamaker Magnolia (Magnolia grandiflora 'Claudia Wannamaker')

A stately evergreen tree prized for its glossy, dark green leaves and enormous, fragrant creamy-white blooms. This Southern Magnolia cultivar grows faster than many other magnolia varieties, forming a dense, naturally pyramidal shape with a tight, well-formed habit even at a young age. It flowers over a long season, often blooming well before reaching full maturity.

The large, cup-shaped flowers can reach up to 10-12 inches across and carry a classic sweet magnolia fragrance, making this a standout specimen or privacy screen tree for larger yards and landscapes.

Growing conditions: Best in full sun to partial shade with well-draining, slightly acidic soil. Once established, it's moderately drought-tolerant, though it performs best with regular deep watering, especially during hot or dry stretches. Transplants well with minimal leaf drop.
